Daniel Sanxis i Silleras- Viola
Violist Daniel Sanxis was born in Valencia (Spain) and began studying music at the age of eight in his town, Benaguasil. He later continued his Viola studies in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia.While studying, he was a member of the Valencia Conservatoire Orchestra and Valencia University Orchestra, and worked with professional orchestras such as Turiae camerata, Collegium Instrumentale and Valencia Symphony Orchestra. In 1998 he was appointed Principal Viola in Melilla Symphony Orchestra (Spain) where he stayed for four years. He then moved to Portugal where he was Co-Principal Viola in the Orquestra do Algarve. During this time, he also played with the Orquesta de Extremadura (Spain). Daniel has been living in Liverpool for just over four years and in this time he has played with orchestras such as Manchester Camerata, Manchester Concert Orchestra, Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. He has recently been playing with the National Ensemble of Spain for Contemporary Music as guest Principal Viola. Daniel is currently preparing for a concert tour around Spain giving recitals of Miklos Rozsa Viola Concerto with the pianist Kiev Portella.
