Kate Marsden - Violin I Kate Marsden began learning the violin at the age of six. Over the next ten years, she enjoyed making music with her school and borough orchestras. It was not until the age of seventeen that Kate decide that she wanted to be a full time musician, and so worked towards a place in one of the music colleges across England. She ended up studying at the GSMD under the guidance of Kryzstof Smietana and Stephanie Gonley. Here, not only did she develop her solo skills but also enjoyed much chamber music and orchestral playing.
Kate is now employed by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and in addition plays in chamber concerts, including quuartet recitals, across England. She loves performing both traditional and experimental music and welcomes new ideas.

Sarah Hill - Violin II Sarah studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Richard Ireland, whre she gained a Bmus (Hons) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Perfomance. In 2002 she joined the Orquestra do Algarve (Portugal), where she stayed for three years. During this time she performed in regular chamber music concerts, and also did several perfomances of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante as a soloist. Sarah has played with many orchestras in the UK, including Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera and RTE National Symphony Orchestra in Ireland. She has been member of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra since July 2005 |

Daniel Sanxis i Silleras- Viola Violist Daniel Sanxis was born in Valencia (Spain) and began studying music at the age of eight in his town, Benaguasil. He later continued his Viola studies in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia.While studying, he was member of the Valencia Conservatoire Orchestra and Valencia University Orchestra, and worked with professional orchestras like Turiae camerata, Collegium Instrumentale and Valencia Symphony Orchestra. In 1998 he was appointed Principal Viola in Melilla Symphony Orchestra (Spain) where he stayed for four years. He then moved to Portugal where he was Co-Principal Viola in the Orquestra do Algarve. During this time, he also played with the Orquesta de Extremadura (Spain). He also gave several solo and chamber music recitals, including performances of Miklos Rozsa Viola Concerto around Catalonia. Daniel is living in Liverpool for just over two years and in this time he has played with orchestras such as Manchester Camerata, Manchester Concert Orchestra, Northern Ballet Theatre Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and RTE National Symphony Orchestra in Ireland. He has recently been playing with the National Ensemble of Spain for Contemporary Music as guest Principal Viola. |

Ruth Dyer - Cello Ruth, from Preston, studied cello under Hannah Roberts at the Royal Northern College of Music. Since graduating with a Bmus (Hons), Ruth has performed regularly with the BBC Philharmonic an Hallé orchestras as well as the Lancashire Sinfonietta. In March 2004 she began work as a full time member of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. She still enjoys a varied concert schedule and has just completed a tour playing with Rod Stewart. |
